Director's Statement
Love Dog is about the personal and collective process of grief, repression of trauma, and their repercussions in our everyday lives. It seeks to observe, not judge, the breakdown of a mythicised American identity, ripe with generational cycles of violence & emotional pain. In seeking out rawness and truth, I wanted to examine how we as humans learn to live and love- not just function- in the midst of our ghosts.
